N.H. Mahmood received his B.Eng and M.Eng degrees in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) respectively. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Engineering from the University of Warwick, United Kingdom. His research areas are three-dimensional (3D) object reconstruction from multiple views, biomedical image processing, medical electronics, biomedical materials, and rehabilitation engineering. Since 1999, he is serving at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, UTM. Within the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, he teaches a number of courses related to his research and elementary to the electrical and electronics curriculum. Currently, he is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. He is also a Postgraduate Manager in Faculty of Electrical Engineering. Formerly, he was a Head of Department for Bio-instrumentation & Signal Processing Department and Bio-technology & Medical Engineering Department at Faculty of Biomedical Engineering & Health Science and Faculty of Bio-sciences and Medical Engineering respectively from 2011 until 2015. In 2017, he was appointed as a National Chess Coach for Para Asean Games (KL2017).
